Critical GCE highlights the importance of learners reflecting upon their own knowledge and assumptions, and “exploring the implications of their own ways of seeing and being in the world in relation to power, relationships, and the distribution of labour and resources”
Core to this is planning and creating learning environments that scaffold continued and critical self-reflection – where learners are provided with opportunities to reflect and build upon their own experiences and social contexts to develop their knowledge and understanding.
