Pamoja Kwa Haki - Together for Human Rights

Pamoja Kwa Haki means 'Together for Rights' in Swahili, and is the term used by Trócaire to describe its human rights programme for secondary schools. Based on rotating case studies, Pamoja guides and encourages students to look at the root causes of poverty using particular Development Education tools and techniques. This learning is applied to a particular human rights and global justice issue or theme which leads to action based approach to awareness raising. The Pamoja project can be undertaken as part of a Development Education module, as a Transition Unit or within a subject class or Peace and Justice extracurricular group.
